A Garden Party Celebrating the 250th Anniversary of America

June 24

Wednesday, June 24th, 2026, Three Village Inn

Cocktail Hour 6 pm | Dinner 7 pm | Live Auction to Follow

Our organization is dedicated to preserving and sharing local historic and environmental properties that are tangible legacies of Stony Brook and the Three Villages. Discernable connections to America’s earliest chapters, the preservation of sites like The Brewster House (c.1665), The Thompson House (c.1709) and The Stony Brook Grist Mill (c.1751) ensure people will continue to learn from and be inspired by them. Built during the colonial period, they survived the British occupation of Long Island during the American Revolution and become interwoven in the stories of Long Islanders who not only witnessed, but contributed, to the development of the community and country.

This year, we are proud to honor:

Dr. Robert Honkanen
Chair of Ophthalmology, Stony Brook Medicine

Proceeds from this year’s dinner will directly support restoration, preservation, and education programs at our environmental and historic properties. In addition, a portion of the net proceeds will be donated to the Ophthalmology Department at Stony Brook Medicine to directly support our community and help provide free vision care to those in need.
