Based on the municipal process for construction which includes advertising, opening bids, contractor credential review, selecting a contractor and contract preparation.
Stage Seven (Municipality Only) – Advertising Project for selection of Contractor
Estimated Time: Thirty (30) Days
Stage Eight (Municipality Only) – Opening Bids, Contractor credential review, Selecting a Contractor and Contract Preparation
Estimated Time: Three (3) to Four (4) Months
Stage Nine – Start Construction and Supervise Construction
Estimated Time: One (1) Year (Some contractors have felt work can be completed on the road within four to five months.) This depends on only the Town of Brookhaven section being rebuilt. Items one through six were completed by a not-for-profit which saved between six to eight months of time. Why, because a not for profit does not have to go out for bid.
